Abstract

“Justice” is a fine adjective to which various nouns may be attributed. These nouns can be divided into three universal categories: individual person, social situation, and society. Each of these nouns has a particular characteristic feature based on which one may not use any given definition for justice. The purpose of this essay is to argue that taking the noun of justice into consideration is an essential matter; and that not taking this into consideration will make the question of justice ambiguous when it comes to its explanation, theorization and performance. For this purpose, the author explains the nouns of justice in a general sense, mentioning some important definitions for justice. Then, giving some examples, the possibility or impossibility of its belonging to various definitions will be examined.
