چکیده

لویناس از تصور «نامتناهی» یا خدا نزد دکارت به مثابه‌ی امری که ناشی از اندیشه‌ی «من اندیشنده» نیست، بسیار بهره برده است، ولی آن را در راستای نظام اخلاقی خود باز تقریر می‌کند. این‌که باز تقریر لویناس از برهان دکارت تا چه حد می‌تواند برهانی اخلاقی در جهت اثبات وجود خدا باشد، و همچنین این‌که اساساً خدا چه جایگاهی در فلسفه‌ی وی می‌تواند داشته باشد، مسائلی هستند که در این مقاله به آن‌ها پرداخته شده است. از سویی دیدگاه لویناس درباره‌ی خدا قابل انفکاک از فلسفه‌ی او نیست. وی فلسفه‌ی خود را با نقد تاریخ فلسفه‌ی غربی مبنی بر نادیده گرفتن گرفتن غیریت دیگری شروع می‌کند. سپس بامعنای خاصی که بر مفهوم سوبژکتیویته بار می‌کند، می‌کوشد مسیری اخلاقی به سوی «دیگری» بگشاید؛ مسیری که در آن غیریت «دیگری» به رسمیت شناخته شده باشد. این گونه به نظر می‌رسد در این مسیر تنگناهایی وجود دارد که لویناس سعی کرده است با طرز تلقی ویژه‌ی خود از خدا و جعل واژه‌ی «اوبودگی» برآن‌ها فائق آید. این مقاله تلاشی است برای پرتوافکنی بر چگونگی سیر لویناس در جهت رسیدن به مفهوم خدا یا «اوبودگی»؛ و این‌که تا چه حد می‌توان این سیر را برهانی اخلاقی بر وجود خدا تلقی کرد.
