We find examples of The mimetic form in both science and art, especially poetry that is based on The mimetic form. The existence of the mimetic form in science is very efficient and has made an impact in the advancement of knowledge. Through mimetic forms, poets and artists have been carriers of knowledge. This article aims to examine the nature of mimetic form and determine its characteristics. Discovering the nature of mimetic form and its effectiveness in advancing knowledge will clarify the importance of art in this realm. The research method of this article is analysis and explanation. And the result is that mimetic form is another type of cognition, which is efficient in many fields, including science, in addition to image correspondence. صورت محاکاتی از دیرباز در فلسفه اسلامی وجود دارد و فیلسوفان مسلمان از جمله فارابی و ابن‌سینا هنگام بررسی قوه متخیله، رؤیا، وحی و عالم مثال آن را بر رسیده‌اند، امّا شناختی بودن آن برایشان جدیت نیافته است. نمونه‌های صورت محاکاتی را هم در علم و در هنر می‌یابیم به ویژه شعر که بر صورت محاکاتی استوار شده است. وجود صورت محاکاتی در علم بسیار کارآمد بوده و در پیشبرد دانش اثر گذاشته است. از طریق صور محاکاتی شاعران و هنرمندان ناقلان معرفت بوده‌اند. این جستار بر آن است چیستی صورت محاکاتی را بررسی کند و ویژگی‌های آن را معین نماید. کشف چیستی صورت محاکاتی و کارآیی آن در پیشبرد دانش و معرفت اهمیّت هنر را در این قلمرو روشن خواهد ساخت. روش بررسی این جستار، تحلیل و تبیین است و نتیجه حاصل آن است که صورت محاکاتی در کنار صورت مطابقتی نوع دیگری از شناخت است که در قلمروهای متعددی از جمله علوم کارآمد است. https://phm.znu.ac.ir/article_718171_48f758990ca332f80aa01a5ad37dc89e.pdf
