Abstract

The present study examines the basics of the action issuing process from Farabi's perspective with a descriptive-analytical method. Basics of issuing action are cognitive basics; desire; velle and perceptual details of processing of issuing action based on certain judgments. Epistemological principles are sensory, imaginary and intellectual knowledge for knowing and choosing the acme. Recognizing and choosing the acme as the first stage of issuing the action is the responsibility of the rational faculty of theoretical; But other steps are related to the rational faculty of practical field. The choice of the acme is according to the specific existential-cognitive level of each human being. The epistemological process of knowing and choosing the end start from the perception of the senses and their transmission to power of the common sense, It continues by the transfer of images from the common sense to the imaginal facuity for permanent protection and imitating and it ends with transferring imaginationes to the stage of rational faculty in order to infer to details of the perceptions related to the action. Assersion stages are also based on illusory perceptions and triple knowledge. Although Farabi spoke about archetypy, observational, and experimental prolegomenas, he did not specify the process of converting universal prolegomenas into singulat ones; But he introduced practical intellect as the faculty responsible for understanding the universals and inferring prolegomenas. And he has dealt with the more detailed issues of the theoretical field of the process of issuing the action as virtus.
