In the analysis of predicative singular proposition, Aristotle considers the copula as a word, which the speaker uses it to refer to the “meaning” of the relation between the subject and the predicate. “Copula” and “Copulative existence” have been the concern of Muslim philosophers since the beginning of Islamic philosophy history. Avicenna, Suhrawardi, Averroes and al-Tusi’s point of views to copula are “linguistic”. “Ontological” looking to copula is found in Mirdamad's manuscripts, but MullaSadra has completely established his philosophy in explaintion of creation based on this perspective. This point of view is obviouse in Allameh Tabataba'i's adherence to MullaSadra method and explaination. This descriptive and qualitative research is looking for starting point of ontological concern about copula and analyze of its transition from linguistic to ontological. The result of this study shows that ontological perspective has emerged between the 7th and 10th centuries AH. The root of this emergence, in addition to the literal translation of non-Arabic texts into Arabic, has been the thinker’s paradigm and assumptions. It is necessary to keep the copula and copulative existence analyzes limited to a language game to prevent it from changing it from what it really is, affected by philosophical discussions.
