From the perspective of Mulla Sadra, a human being is a composite of dimensions, and the identity of the immaterial dimensions is selfsame as the knowledge and reality of the material dimensions and selfsame as motion. He is successful in employing the principality and gradation of existence, the indivisible entity, the transformation of essences, etc. Mulla Sadra considers the immaterial dimension as an extension of the material dimension and pays attention to the distinctions between these two dimensions by comparing knowledge and perceptual forms. The adornment of perceptual forms from inner multiplicity, the connection of perception to the cognitive agent, the unity of similar perceptual forms in perceptive agents, its stability over time, the lack of overlap, etc., distinguish them from natural forms. Natural forms are constantly changing; two natural forms cannot be combined in one single object, and a single natural form cannot be obtained in two different objects. Recognizing Mulla Sadra’s ‘continuum’ and ‘distinct’ leads to the strength of anthropology, ethics, and teleology. He considers the distance between material and immaterial to be in the least difference between the two dimensions of a single identity.
