Abstract
The present study aims to investigate the lexical network related to "the first chief", one of the main terms in Farabi's works, and has been conducted using a descriptive-analytical method. In several of his works, Farabi has sought help in defining "the first chief" from the central concept in prophecy, namely the concept of revelation. In addition, in Tahsil al-Saadah, he equated terms such as "imam", "philosopher", "malek" and "Waze Al-Nawamis" with "the first chief" and provided a definition of each without mentioning revelation. The question is what are the semantic relationships between the terms in the conceptual network of the first chief and for what purpose is it expressed? Results: 1- The four characteristics (acquiring theoretical and intellectual virtues, achieving practical virtues and the power to create them in others) that are included in the definition of the first chief and other terms are the chain of relationships between these terms. 2- "Absolute" is an adverb indicating the perfection of virtue and the highest level of meaning of each word in terms of concept. This adverb is one of the connecting concepts between all the words. 3- "First President" is the central term in this network. 4- The purpose of presenting this conceptual network is to provide semantic support for the first president. 5- The equality of these concepts with the first president is not on the same level, but the word "malek" has a priority over the others in terms of its association with revelation in the definition.
