"The present article, titled '**Explaining the Quality of Transversal Gradation in the Material World, Its Effects and Consequences**,' is an effort towards presenting a proper explanation of transversal gradation (*tashkīk-i 'arḍī*) in the material world, which has not been adequately addressed thus far in Islamic philosophy and Transcendent Theosophy (*ḥikmat-i muta'āliyah*). For this purpose, initially, conceptology of this term has been undertaken, and reliance has been placed on a new argument that, overall, can prove the transversal gradation of existence, especially in the material world.
